Oh how crestfallen these geek parents were when we learned about Intel Museum's temporary closure due to renovation during our visit in May of last year. It was our first time to step foot on San Francisco Bay Area's famed Silicon Valley and aside from
the hubby's job interview, we only got our eyes set on this museum. The few other tourist attractions in Santa Clara seemed
meh (I reckon I'lI prove myself wrong in the future) for us.
The Gods of Microprocessors must have been considerate to us folks, for we were able to revisit Silicon Valley just six months after (U.S.A.'s the second country on our round-the-world trip itinerary). By then the Intel Museum has reopened, and the hubby was already employed by the company who invited him for an interview.
All the nerd universe conspired in helping us achieve our dream. Now witness our geek out...

Visitors could send out personalized e-postcards from the museum. Donned the bunny suit's headware for this one.Intel Museum is open Monday to Friday 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and Saturday 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Walk in request for a guided tour is accommodated. Admission is free.

parang naalala ko ang floppy disk ng 386 at 486 machines na ginagamit ko nung highschool nung nakita ko ang ancient IBM PC... :D

It must have been a great experience, especially to Luna. Personally, to grow up in this modern world with all this gadgets and all makes me a bit sad. I am born in the 90's and was a teenager after millenum I didn't exactly enjoy the fun my older siblings experienced when they were younger. No computers, no phones, no smartphones, just plain old school fun on the streets and knowledge straight from old books in the library where you can spend hours procrastinating. Oh and the typewriters! Hah. Can't live without my gadgets and it is sad.

AJ, the bunny suit's used by Intel workers in the lab. Tourists get to wear for photos, if interested.

I just loved how Luna is being so techy as she is already and i love the photo where u had her sit on the logo of Intel.

It's nice how Intel does not ask for museum entrance fee. It goes to show how Intel's really interested to share its roots to its supporters. :)

I missed wearing a bunny suit when I used to work at Technopark in Biñan.
That experience is really once in a lifetime. I hope they do plan to put up a museum here in the Philippines. ^_^
