Legian and Kuta Beach, South Bali

On our second day in Bali, Tamie (our Couchsurfing host) took us to Legian Beach. It is slightly quieter than Kuta Beach, but waves in this area are as constant. It's a mere hundred-meter walk from Tamie's place.

Along the way (in front of almost every establishment), we saw little bamboo leaf trays with tiny offerings called sesajen inside: flowers, rice, crackers and sometimes cigarettes. This only proves that majority of Bali is Hindu, unlike the rest of Indonesia which is Muslim.

We spent a couple of hours lazing along the beach with Tamie and his friends (who have chairs for rent). They watched over our belongings while we braved the big waves. They also brought us to a warung for brunch after swimming.

Life is indeed "wonderfull".
In the afternoon, Tamie helped us hire a cheap motorbike (45,000 Rp for 24 hours). He even drove it himself, with Shervin and another friend on it, in search of a guesthouse at Kuta Beach for us to transfer to.
